Ms. LaShone is a certified children’s yoga teacher and mindfulness coach who helps children explore body awareness and relaxation techniques through yoga, meditation and breath. We’d love to have your kids at HYCH!

Yoga Camp on the Hill: August 14-18, 2023

 

Ms. LaShone, Ms. Sharon, and Ms. Lara are delighted to announce the return of our summer Yoga Camp on the Hill!

Camp on the Hill offers an inclusive, fun, supportive and enriching experience that encourages space for creative growth.


For the week-long session kids explore their potential through:

  • Yoga and movement class

  • Food preparation

  • Science experiments and crafts

  • Practicing mindfulness and breathing techniques to improve self-regulation and confidence

  • Developing new friendships

  • Creative games and unstructured play

Dates: August 14-18

Time: 9am - 2pm

Price: $385 (We do not offer daily drop-ins)

Ages: 5-10 (Please contact us if your child is not in this age range but you feel would be a good fit for program.)

Activities
Camp on the Hill offers an inclusive, fun, supportive and enriching experience that encourages space for creative growth.

Days will vary slightly but in general we do our best to include many of the following activities for each camp day.

  • Yoga (every camp day)

  • Martial arts/dance movement class

  • Food Preparation for snack

  • Science experiments

  • Writing/coloring in journal (every camp day)

  • Crafts (every camp day)

  • Practicing mindfulness and breathing techniques to improve self regulation and confidence (every camp day)

  • Local excursions to some neighborhood gems

  • Developing new friendships (every camp day)

  • Creative games and unstructured play (every camp day)

Age Groups
5-10 years of age Let us know if your child doesn’t fall in this range but you feel they’d be a good fit.

Pick Up
Please pick up your child on time. We understand things happen, so parents arriving late will be charged $5 for every 5 minute increment late. (e.g. 1-5 min late=$5; 6-10 min late=$10 and so on.) Thank you for understanding.

Tuition includes all regular camp activities, supplies, and daily snacks.
Please pack your child’s lunch daily and apply sun screen before you drop them off. We can reapply in afternoon.

One Breath at a Time

LaShone Wilson, the CEO and Founder of One Breath at a Time, LLC has created a dynamic curriculum with enough flexibility to effectively teach yoga and mindfulness to children of varying physical capabilities and learning styles. This includes children with ADHD and Autism The curriculum teach the whole child. It place an emphasis on stress reduction, peaceful pauses, increasing natural range of motion, balance, and the use of breath as a source of present moment awareness and empowerment. Children are encouraged to be creative and have fun while exercising their cardiovascular and respiratory system.  Yoga poses are safely taught and are often done to music with fun, positive and educational messages. Learn more about One Breath at a Time here.
